PDU Offered to Key Communicators

Key Communicators are being recruited this year to help other educators understand and use the ProComp elements to enhance their instructional strategies and advance their careers with Denver Public Schools.

Sarie Patterson and Henry Roman, teacher members of the ProComp Transition Team, are spearheading the project.  Patterson explains, “One of the most important learnings of the past six years has been that one-on-one communication is how most teachers want to learn about something new like ProComp.  We designed the Key Communicator program to meet that need.”

Patterson and Roman are in the process of recruiting ProComp members who are interested in serving as a Key Communicator at their own school.  Special training is being offered to help them learn all the details of the ProComp system.  Key Communicators may earn a Professional Development Unit (PDU) for their service, which pays 2% of the index salary.

Any ProComp member who is interested in serving as a Key Communicator should contact Henry Roman at 720-423-3628.  To date approximately 70 educators have volunteered.
