Educator and Supervisor Toolkit
Below are links to various tools that teachers, student service professionals and administrators may use to get information.
ProComp Handbook -- A handbook that covers the various elements of ProComp, including in-depth explanations of the components and payouts, history, information on program evaluation and examples of completed forms.
Calendar -- Important ProComp dates including deadlines for Student Growth Objectives, various teacher administrator conferences and information on upcoming ProComp meetings.
Component and Element Earnings Chart [pdf] -- Salary and bonus amounts that will be paid to teachers through each ProComp element.
Employee Change Form -- The Salary Advance portion of this form must be filled out for educators to receive compensation for advanced degrees and licenses.
Hearing Request Form -- Educators who have a dispute with any salary/bonus aspect of the Pro-Comp program and feel that they have been denied appropriate compensation should fill out this form. Completed forms should be submitted to DCTA or DPS Legal Office. Click here for more information on pay disputes.
Licenses -- A listing of the licenses and criteria which are eligible for salary increases under ProComp. Click here for more information on the Approval Process for Licenses.
ProComp Orientation -- A video that explains the various ProComp components and elements for new employees and DPS educators who joined during the first two opt in windows. It may be viewed all at once or in segments. (plug in or flash graphics are required)
Professional Development Handbook -- Handbook being used for Professional Development Units.
Professional Evaluation Handbook -- Information on Professional Evaluation and the handbook being used in the 2006-2007 year. It sets standards and timelines for teachers and principals.Salary Calculator -- A generic calculator can allow anyone to experiment and estimate how much he/she might earn over the course of a career under ProComp.
Student Growth Objectives Handbook -- A revised handbook that provides sample objectives and guidelines for teachers and student services professionals, by level, to use when writing student growth objectives.
Tuition Reimbursement Form -- Educators who wish to apply for tuition reimbursement should fill out this form.
